Where do you plan to study? It's hard to say much unless you know at least what you'd like to study.

That said, I live in Los Angeles, which is great (except for transportation).

It's a big country - huge, like China.  So you can do some research, and pick a place with weather that you don't mind (e.g. no snow, or temperatures<32 degrees).  Also, you could pick a place with fairly standard English (maybe California or Pennsylvania) or some place where no one speaks your mother tongue, like out in the countryside.

There are fifty states in the U.S., and each one is different.
